A great episode!! mainly discussions with Brian Lohnes about the myriad event types he covers in his job as a travelling announcer for some of the biggest national events (NHRA) as well as the most popular independent events (Lights Out, No Mercy, Drag Week). Lots of insight from this guy!

We spend most of the night talking about Doug and Andy Cook’s R&D project vehicle that just broke the record for GM’s LT Gen V engines (the new stuff). Scott Evans, Tom Sewell, Ry Klemp, SCott Clark, special guest Tony from AES Racing Engines who built Doug’s engine. We go through details on the entire car and how you go crazy fast on a late model DI engine.

Back to all-tech talk!! Scott Evans, Scott Clark, Chris Delgado, Tom Sewell, Mark Dalquist knock out a large number of tech questions from listeners. 187 live listeners this time. Lots of great questions!
Drag Week Wrap Up!
It’s the Middle of Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week and we are close with a number of racers, so we decided to interview some of them to find out what makes their programs work. We talk with Vinny Barbone in the Unlimited Class Geo Tracker, and James “Doc” McEntire who yesterday became the first to pilot a naturally aspirated car to a 7-second quarter mile pass in Drag Week history with a 7.99 at Gateway. Doc takes us through the challenges, highs and lows over the years, and his current engine combination designed and built by Todd Goodwin – who then also joins the discussion!!
Scott Clark, Scott Evans, Brad Nagel, John Bewley, Zac Freeman, James Short, Ryan Miller, Tom Sewell, Andy Cook battle a tidal wave of questions ranging from ignition coils to factory ECU tuning. This is a long one at just over 2 hours, enjoy!
